Our major business offering is the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) technology through our partnership with SAGEM SA. The technology used is the world’s foremost and standard setting fingerprint identification technology, which is adopted by the FBI and INTERPOL as well as many other major enforcement agencies and civil organisations.

YASMIN TEKNOLOGI has implemented and currently maintaining both the Criminal and Civil AFIS, for  the PDRM and the NRD. In fact, the NRD-AFIS is currently the world largest Civil AFIS with a database of over 18.5 million citizen records.  YASMIN TEKNOLOGI undertakes to ensure that the NRD system availability of 24X7 with vigilant system monitoring, administration, performance tuning, maintenance, trouble shooting, house keeping and backup services.

In airports, access control and identity checking require a systematic, real-time, simple and reliable checking device. Biometry is the only reliable solution to protect people's identity, but also guarantee their rights and in some cases, their life. The human element is not sufficient enough to control identity: checking times are too long and risks of error too important. With automated finger imaging systems, controls are more than 99% safe. Besides, they are simple to use and almost immediate: people just have to put their finger on optical efficiency, controls have to be done during two decisive stages: at first, a fingerprint identification is necessary while check-in and/or ticket purchase. Then, to make sure there has not been any identity mixed up, a fingerprint verification is processed at boarding time.

This fingerprint technology significantly reduces the inspection time. A great service quality is also given to the passengers but also to the airport employees: these user-friendly systems require a very short training for the staff and don't modify the check-in and boarding courses. Moreover, they protect the airline and airport investments since they can easily adapt to any current system.

In the area of enterprise solutions, we were involved in the provision and implementation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure known as the Integrated Terminal and Port Management Information System (ITPMIS) which is the central nervous system managing the functional operation, HR and financial system of the Port of Tanjung Pelepas- Premier port of the New Millennium. For this we act as the co-prime contractor / project manager with an internationally renowned software house. YASMIN TEKNOLOGI was responsible for managing 6 sub-system vendors, each providing an essential and integral part of the solution.  The system was ready for operations 3 months ahead of schedule, thus allowing the port to begin operations and generate revenue. We are now providing the system maintenance for the efficient operation of the Port.
