With the country’s criminal and civil AFIS in place, Yasmin Teknologi prides itself for having implemented and maintained both systems for the PDRM and the JPN. In fact, the JPN-AFIS is currently the world largest Civil AFIS implementation with a database of over 18.5 million citizen records at a conversion rate of 120,000 fingerprints a day, beating the previous record held by the United States of 80,000. Yasmin Teknologi also undertakes to ensure that the JPN system is available 24X7 by having in place vigilant system monitoring, administration, performance tuning, maintenance, troubleshooting, housekeeping and backup services. Upon the success of the nation’s AFIS, the authorities are planning to extend the system to involve foreigners in the country so that prompt action could be taken to identify the offender when a crime is committed.

We also anticipate strong growth opportunities in the use of AFIS authentication devices for items ranging from hand-held devices to web-based secured applications and transactions. Demand for our enterprise solutions also remains strong, evident in the company’s involvement in the provision, implementation and maintenance of Malaysia’s premier port’s Integrated Terminal and Port Management Information System (ITPMIS). As the co-prime contractor/project manager with an internationally renowned software house, Yasmin Teknologi played a key role in managing the port’s functional operations, human resources and financial system.
